Café Blue

MSRP: $32.99 USD

For our first all-new 24K Gold CD releases in eight years, we worked with jazz icon Patricia Barber and Premonition Records to bring her classic 1994 release CAFÉ BLUE to the format for the very first time.

Patricia Barber’s outstanding 1994 release Cafe Blue has won more than 15 awards from major international music institutions. Deemed an “underground classic” by jazz Bible Downbeat magazine, the album contains sparkling, indelible improvisations derived as much from Barber’s interest in classical music as from jazz. This is where the internationally renowned singer-pianist comes into her own, interpreting songs from outside the traditional jazz repertoire and debuting a handful of original compositions that reveal her innovative, thoroughly distinctive style.

Café Blue has been newly remastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio for added warmth musicality. The deluxe book-style packaging has a heavy-stock booklet that pays homage to the original Premonition CDs while updating them to Impex Records’ premium look and feel.

The Limited Edition Impex 24K Gold CD Patricia Barber Series are manufactured at Memory-Tech’s state-of-the-art facility in Japan.
